AAKA Handcrafts Mission Statement

AAKA Handcrafts began in the 1980's to initiate opportunities of growth for the economically underprivileged craftsmen of New Delhi and has now matured into a major commercial achievement. Encouraged by their early success, they progressively expand their socio-economic and trade reform activities to the neighboring states of north India. Since their origin AAKA Handcraftes has been actively involved in offering support services for the safeguard and promotion of handicraft while attending to society developmental needs of grassroots craftsperson by conveying human rights and general awareness with vocational and informal education for the human development. They have continuously remained a dynamic catalyst in combating exploitation, poverty, illiteracy and slavery of artisans who have now distinguished identity of themselves. They impart training in conceptualizing and designing and provide the artisans with fair wages.
