Planet One Gifts has teamed up with several local and regional ceramic artists to bring you beautiful, handcrafted, functional art you can use. We offer mugs in both bright and muted hues for your coffee, teas, and cocoas; and bowls, plain and decorated, for your dips and salsas. Each artist has his or her own distinct style with regard to shape, color and texture, and we are in awe of their...well, incredible artistry! For many of these artisans, sales of their work is their only source of income, while others pursue working with clay as a hobby. Either way, like any artist, they all express themselves through their creations. To one artist I observed, “You seem so content and at peace with yourself. There must be something therapeutic about working with clay, getting it in between your fingers.” She replied, “Yes, getting your fingers in soft, mushy clay is very therapeutic! It keeps me grounded.” Using these wonderful, one–of-a-kind cups, mugs and bowls might make you feel a little more grounded, too. We at Planet One Gifts feel very fortunate to have discovered this cache of “local talent.” We are pleased to offer to you these functional works of art as a unique component of our gift collection.
